Mohsen Hesami is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Plant Agriculture, University of Guelph. He holds a BSc. from University of Tehran, Iran, an MSc from Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources University of Khuzestan, Iran and a PhD from University of Tehran, Karaj, Iran.

His research interests lies in plant biotechnology, epigenetic machinery and gene regulatory networks in in vitro plant regeneration. Currently, Mohsen is establishing a baseline transcriptomic and epigenetic pattern to assess developmental stages in cannabis to develop best practices to mitigate plant decline during the long-term maintenance. He also apply machine learning algorithms in different parts of his research.
